Jordan is in my ESL writing class this semester, and he has an interesting life. He comes from Chang Zhi, China. He lives with his parents and his brother in his hometown, but now he lives in a homestay near SFU. He always spends his free time talking with his friends, and searching for news online, so he likes to know what happening in the world. He also has a lot of friends who study at UBC. Therefore, he chose Canada to learn English and complete his major. He wants to get a great job in his country after he finishes his education. He also visited Australia when he studied in high school. I think he compared Canada and Australia. However, he wants to try a new country and a new way to learn English. This is the first time I have met someone his age who is interested in the news and journalism.
